sa国际传媒 placed fifth on a ranking of Canadian cities for their LGBTQIA+ nightlife. A marcher dressed as Ogopogo participated in the city's Pride Parade in 2015.听

sa国际传媒 punches well above its weight in terms of offering LGBTQIA+ nightlife, a survey says.

The city ranks fifth on a list of ‘Top 10 Best Canadian Cities for LGBTQIA+ Nightlife'.

Based on factors such as LGBTQIA+-friendly bars, clubs, and hotels, as well as number of events and relevant hashtags, each city on the list was given a score out of 10. 

sa国际传媒’s score was 7.41, tied with Longueil, Que. The only cities higher on the list were Vancouver, Toronto, Victoria, and Montreal. 

Cities that are much larger than sa国际传媒 ranked further down the list, such as Edmonton (17th), Calgary (20th), and Winnipeg (38th).

“Interestingly, smaller cities rank alongside major hubs, showing a shift in LGBTQIA+ inclusivity beyond Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal,” reads a summary of the survey, which was done for  

“Cities like sa国际传媒, St. Catharines, Ont., and Guelph, Ont. ranking high could reflect demand for LGBTQIA+ spaces outside major metros, making queer nightlife and community-building more accessible nationwide,” the survey says. 

sa国际传媒 is said in the ranking to have 25 LGBTQIA+-friendly hotels, one third as many as Montreal, and 11 LGBTQIA-friendly bars and clubs, two more than Victoria and one-quarter as many as Vancouver. 

Sources for the ranking included Expedia, TripAdvisor, GayCities, EventBrite, Yelp, among others.
