A sa国际传媒 construction company has been recognized for its effort to hire and advance the careers of more women and Indigenous workers.聽
Emil Anderson Group won the award for outstanding Recruitment, Hiring, and Retention programs presented by the BC Construction Association as part of its annual Champion Awards. April is Construction and Skilled Trades Month in sa国际传媒
鈥淭his month, and every month, we celebrate the incredible efforts of the businesses and builders who make the development and growth of our province possible,鈥 association president Chris Atchison said in a release.聽
鈥淎lthough Emil Anderson Group has 600-plus employees, they spend time and focused effort on 鈥榮taying small鈥 to maintain a family feel,鈥 the association says.聽
In particular, the association cited the companysa国际传媒 鈥榃omen of Emil Anderson Group Initiative鈥, which aims to promote gender equality and create pathways for women to thrive in the construction industry.聽
鈥淭hey鈥檝e also launched a Business Development and Indigenous Relationships department with a focus on building relationships with their Indigenous partners and communities,鈥 the association says.聽
Seven construction firms around sa国际传媒 of varying sizes and specialities were recognized with awards presented by the association. There are more than 10,000 firms in sa国际传媒sa国际传媒 construction industry.聽
