Koji Gibson scored the OT winner for Vernon

Penticton Vees extended its winning streak in the BCHL with a 7-1 win over Vernon Vipers, Saturday at Kal Tire Place.

With the win, the Vees have matched last yearsa国际传媒 mark for vic-tories at 38 with four more games remaining in the regular season.

Several players had multi-point games, including Ryden Evers (1G, 2A) and Simon Meier (3A) who each had three points. Ben Merrill scored a pair of goals, and five other Vees found the back of the net. In all, 11 Vees recorded at least a point in the road win.

Louie Wehmann, Eli McKamey, Conyr Hellyer, Caton Ryan, Ryden Evers scored singles. Evers has done well against the Vipers this year scoring five goals and eight assists in six games.

Ethan Buenaventura had the win in net making 16 saves.

The Vees were also winners on Friday beating Spruce Grove Saints 5-2 at home. Wehmann, McKamey, Matthew Cataldo, Hellyer and Ryan scored in the win. Will Ingemann, the gamesa国际传媒 No. 1 star, had the win in net making 23 saves.

The Vees are on the road this week beginning Friday in Cran-brook.

VIPERS WIN IN OT

The Vipers were able to bounce back after Fridaysa国际传媒 loss in Penticton beating Spruce Grove Saints 4-3 in overtime at home, Saturday.

Koji Gibson scored at 4:19 in overtime for the winning marker. The Vipers trailed 2-0 and 3-1 at different times of the game. Ryan Watt sent the game into overtime with a goal at 19:53 of the third period. Talan Blanck and Kyren Gronick also scored in the win.

Jari Kykkanen started the game and stopped 29 of 31 shots. Logan Cunningham came in relief at the start of the third pe-riod allowing one goal and making 13 of 14 saves.

Vernon is also on the road this weekend playing Friday in Spruce Grove, Saturday in Sherwood Park.

WARRIORS WIN BIG

Three goals in the second period powered West sa国际传媒 Warriors to a 5-0 shutout victory over Powell River Kings, Saturday. Edouard Gauthier made 15 saves in posting the shutout. He also assisted on the second goal of the game. Vincent Lamberti, meanwhile, made 44 of 49 shots for Pow-ell River.

Sam LeDrew scored the first and fifth goals of the game. In between, Elias Callgren, Jackson Kyrkostas and Ian Alonso added single markers.

The Warriors hit the road for two games this weekend beginning Friday in Okotoks.
