Detailed plans for four residential towers along Ellis Street in sa国际传媒's downtown north end have been filed with the city.听
Four more high-rises, of between 28 and 36 storeys in height, are planned for downtown sa国际传媒.

A development permit for the multi-tower project has been filed with the City of sa国际传媒 by developer Ledingham-McCallister for a 3.5 acre site at 1070 Ellis St.听

鈥淲ith built forms and a skyline that respond to the surrounding mountains, shoreline, and urban fabric, this development forms a significant contribution to the revitalization of the north end of sa国际传媒sa国际传媒 city centre,鈥 the permit application states.听

鈥淭houghtfully sculpted tower forms, rich landscaping, animated public spaces, and ample market strata and rental housing close to the lake and downtown amenities will create a thriving, vibrant community,鈥 the company says.听

The proposed four-tower development site, dubbed Vintage at Waterscapes, is immediately east of the existing Waterscapes development along Sunset Drive. Itsa国际传媒 been a vacant property for many years.听

A total of 1,141 homes are contained in the proposed development, including 29 ground-oriented townhomes.听The land has already been rezoned, in 2022, to support the construction of high-rises.听

To proceed as planned a number of building variances would have to be granted by the city. These include upper floor setbacks, maximum floor plate size, tower separation, and podium heights.听

There is currently no date for when city council will consider the matter, as the development permit and variance request has just been received by municipal planners.听
