Two former sa国际传媒 city councillors, Gail Given and Ryan Donn, and a former city manager, Ron Mattiussi, have endorsed sa国际传媒 Centre NDP candidate Loyal Wooldridge.聽
Given says Wooldridge, a current city councillor, has a 鈥渦nique blend of solid business sense and strong social responsibility鈥. Donn said hesa国际传媒 excited to 鈥渟ee the blossoming of (Wooldridgesa国际传媒) political life".聽
Mattiussi, who was city manager for 11 years, says Wooldridge is an 鈥渆xemplary leader who consistently demonstrates his hard-working nature, community focus, and care for the people he serves鈥.聽
Mattiussi retired in March 2018, seven months before Wooldridge won his first term of office. Given was a three-term incumbent who lost her seat in the 2022 election.聽After her loss, she blamed her defeat in part on Conservatives.聽
Donn was named specifically in an ongoing lawsuit alleging bad faith actions by the City of sa国际传媒 regarding its plan for waterfront properties. Donn was recorded as saying of a sa国际传媒 resident, "I need him to shut up"; In his affidavit, Donn said he was not speaking literally.聽
Donn, the manager of the Lake Country town-owned Creekside Theatre, did not run for re-election in 2022.
The press release sent out by the NDP boasting of the endorsements of Given, Donn, and Mattiussi for Wooldridge describe them as 鈥淐ity of sa国际传媒 leaders鈥.聽
